The Marion County Board of County Commissioners approved a zoning change for a 2.38-acre parcel owned by Richard Taylor on a consent vote during its Sept. 5, 2025 Planning and Zoning meeting.
The change, recorded as Case 250904ZC, reclassifies the parcel from single-family R-1 zoning to Business B-2 zoning. Growth Services staff identified the parcel by partial account number 1470-002-005; no street address was assigned on the county record presented at the meeting.
The request was placed on the consent agenda and, after no commissioners pulled the item for discussion, Commissioner McLean moved approval and Commissioner Curry seconded. The board voted unanimously to approve the rezoning.
The Richard Taylor zoning change was one of several consent items the board considered before moving to more contested agenda items.
