The Arts Commission recorded three formal actions at its Sept. 4 meeting: approval of August minutes, and the formal adoption of resolutions electing a chair and a vice chair for the coming fiscal year.
The minutes for the regular meeting held Aug. 7, 2025 were moved and seconded and then approved. The minutes clerk summarized the outcome: "For the record, the August minutes are approved with 1 abstention and 1 absence." The motion was recorded as moved by Commissioner Ferroni and seconded by Commissioner Nasiri; the transcript did not identify which commissioner cast the abstention.
The commission then accepted nominations and adopted resolutions for commission officers. The commission voted to re-elect Barbara Chung as chair for fiscal year 2025to2026; the minutes clerk recorded the result as unanimous. The commission later adopted a resolution electing Commissioner George as vice chair for fiscal year 2025to2026; that vote was also recorded as unanimous.
No other formal votes were taken during the meeting. The clerk announced the meeting was adjourned at 7:41 p.m.
