Staff: Station RV Park expansion under permit, city monitoring compliance with RV code

A council member asked for an update on the long-stay mobile home/RV park near East Fifth Street. Planning/engineering staff said the Station has a permit for a phase 2 expansion of the RV park and is in construction for roads and layout. Staff said the city recently added permit-tracking procedures for mobile-home and RV park activity and will enforce Chapter 25 (RV park code) compliance not only for the new phase but to bring phase 1 into compliance as well.
Staff said some improvements already addressed include removal of oversized gas tanks and installation of permanent fencing and skirting; further items remain subject to inspection and final checks under engineering and planning prior to allowing renters in new phase spaces. Staff said they will require compliance with entryway corridor landscaping and tree requirements and will hold the owner to those standards as a condition of increased occupancy.
