City OKs site plan for 4,922 sq. ft. Kirkwood professional office building

Dennis Killough, Director of Planning, presented the proposal, noting that the land-use designation is office commercial and the zoning is nonresidential planned unit development. The site plan conforms to a previously approved development plan for the Kirkwood East Addition, including a tree-conservation and tree-removal plan; all trees in the building footprint would be removed, and the applicant proposed 8 additional canopy trees and supplementary landscaping elsewhere on the site. Planning & Zoning recommended approval 5-0, and staff reported that seven public-notification mailings were sent to surrounding property owners with no responses.
Council moved to approve the site plan subject to the staff report dated Sept. 8, 2025, and the site-plan review summary. The motion carried 7-0.
