Community events and other updates: Councilmembers announced forthcoming community activities and public-safety outreach including an emergency preparedness fair Sept. 20 at Lowe’s, a Firewise meeting in Tuscany Hills on Oct. 16, Mariachi Fest on Sept. 20 at Diamond Stadium and motorsport events in October at Diamond Stadium. Battalion Chief Sean Arnold, a Firewise presenter noted in council comments, will join a neighborhood meeting to discuss wildfire-hardening steps.
