Stafford High School coaches previewed the Spartans’ 2025 football season and invited the community to the season opener against the Iowa Colony Pioneers on Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. at Stafford High School.
Coach Ken Savannah, Stafford’s athletic director and head football coach, said players began preparation on Aug. 4 and named several team leaders, including Jaden Lovedog, Javion Sauniere, Nick Young, JT Torres and Robert Inslee. Savannah said the team’s goal is to return to the form that produced a regional-semifinal appearance in the prior season.
“We're hoping that things come together for us again,” Savannah said, adding the team’s emphasis on health and execution as it moves into the regular season. The program also noted cross country, volleyball, tennis, water polo and swim are active this fall.
No injuries, roster limits or scholarship information was discussed in the preview. Coaches encouraged local fans to attend the opener and support Stafford athletics.
