The speaker, identified at the meeting as representing the electric-bike retailer Scotty Bikes and based in Oro Valley, said the regional Loop is a major tourism draw and that Oro Valley controls nine miles of the Loop with about 20 access points beginning at Vistoso Boulevard. “If you search on the loop, bike, or bicycle, you don't get any hits,” the speaker said, adding that Explore Oro Valley currently lists the Canada del Oro shared-use path under the parks icon and that the description appears out of date.
The commenter offered to provide updated copy and data, including ridership estimates, and asked who manages the Explore Oro Valley app and how a business can be listed. Staff advised the speaker that bringing the feedback to staff was the correct first step so staff could connect him with the appropriate team and that the chair’s office helps set future agendas for items that might require broader commission input.
