City staff presented estimated incremental costs required by statute: $371,000 in year one and $218,000 in year two. Josiah Jensen, who addressed the council as the union representative during the hearing, said he echoed the same themes raised during the non‑supervisor negotiation: collaboration between city and union leadership led to a contract that addressed safety and compensation issues while recognizing fiscal constraints.
Council members thanked union representatives and city negotiators for what they characterized as a constructive bargaining process. The council voted to ratify the supervisors agreement following the public hearing. The clerk announced the motion passed; the transcript does not record a roll‑call tally in the public proceedings.
The agreement runs concurrently with the non‑supervisor contract and will be effective from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027. Staff indicated implementation steps would be coordinated through human resources and the fire department.
