The committee requested data from the district to identify how many students live within a mile of the school, which committee members said would help target sidewalk and pedestrian-improvement efforts. A request to district staff member Michael for the data had been made; committee members said they had not yet received it.
No capital projects or road-building work were approved at the meeting. School staff and committee members described the steps as interim operational fixes while they seek data, funding and longer-term engineering solutions.
