Grand Prairie unveils renovated main library entrance after decade-long project

The renovation project began more than 10 years ago, and the library interior was remodeled in 2016, the announcement said. The upgraded entrance includes distinctive signage, an inviting plaza outside, a mural inside the foyer and a bright reception area intended to draw people of all ages.
"The idea is to be a place that people of all ages will want to come in and explore from the moment they arrive at the front door," Staff member 1 said. The speaker said the city aimed to create a "wow" factor at the entrance to match the interior remodel.
Grand Prairie's main library is open daily except Sundays. For hours and information about new programs and services across the city's libraries, the city directed residents to gptx.org/library.
