City manager reports short-term road closure, fall events and economic development application deadline

City Manager John reported a two-day road closure on Taylorsville and Rip Rap Road (Sept. 16–17, 7 a.m.–3 p.m.), reminded the public about a Sept. 20 concert and a Sept. 28 open house at Station 22, and urged applications for the city’s economic development program.
John, the city manager, provided brief operational updates at the Sept. 16 Huber Heights City Council work session.
He said the road closure on Taylorsville and Rip Rap Road is in place Sept. 16–17 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and that the detour is open to local businesses. He reminded residents of the final summer concert on Sept. 20 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., an open house set for Sunday, Sept. 28 at Station 22 on Brant Pike from noon to 3 p.m., and a police event on Oct. 16 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. held in conjunction with Dogtown for citizens and pets.
John also said staff is finalizing an economic-development program and urged anyone interested to submit an application for the program before the advertised deadline.
No action was required from the council on these informational items.
