During the meeting the board approved the consent agenda — routine items including approval of the Aug. 25, 2025 meeting minutes and financial and bank statements for July and August — by a single motion and voice vote. The consent agenda items were presented as routine and were approved without separate discussion.
Other items noted: the City Council approved the DEDC fiscal year 2025–2026 budget at its recent meeting but removed a property acquisition item of $1,400,000; the EDC intends to schedule a joint workshop with the City Council and the developer to finalize options and elements required for a development agreement on the related project. A staff member also said she has a meeting scheduled with representatives of the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce regarding a four‑year board nomination.
