Zoning Commission approves consent agenda, postpones one case to Oct. 7

The San Antonio Zoning Commission on Tuesday approved its consent agenda covering several rezoning requests and took action on procedural items and scheduling.
The commission voted to approve consent agenda items 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 11 as amended where noted by staff. Those items include rezoning requests across the city (locations and summarized uses were read into the record by staff). The staff report showed that notifications were sent to nearby property owners; most items recorded no public opposition and some neighborhood associations indicated support. The motion to approve the consent agenda carried on a recorded roll call vote.
Earlier in the meeting staff announced that items 1, 7 and 8 had been postponed or withdrawn and would not be heard at this session; those applicants were advised they would receive notice of new hearing dates. The commission also voted to postpone agenda item 10 to the Commission’s Oct. 7 meeting after public voice messages expressing opposition were entered into the record.
The body approved the meeting minutes and formal corrections by voice vote. The commission adjourned after noting a forthcoming vacancy in the vice‑chair position and announcing that the vacancy and nominations will appear on the next agenda.
All approved items on the consent agenda will be transmitted to the San Antonio City Council for final action.
