The discussion included mention of prior projects that were halted for lack of funding and of larger industrial projects (a cement plant and ethanol facilities) whose scale and permitting status affect whether sequestration efforts proceed.
A participant said he had “a great big long research paper” about the aquifer and would circulate it to the APC. Commissioners asked for follow-up and additional detail on statutory changes cited in the report.
