“Calvin went live on August 12,” the DCD director told the board, and staff are “still working out a few bugs and making some adjustments.” The director described the rollout as countywide and said some follow-up work remains.
The director also said the county previously approved paying savings fees for volunteer fire chiefs through 2030; the chiefs were “appreciative” of the continuation of those payments, the director said. The director noted the upcoming “Tina conference” and a ceremony planned to recognize past presidents; the county has a three-time president of the conference serving on the board.
No formal action was required on these operational updates. The comments were presented as part of the director’s routine report to the board.
