Spanish Fort issues proclamations for Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Constitution Week

A Lighthouse representative said the proclamation “is more than just words on a paper. It is a beacon of hope to all survivors and a call to action for this community,” and thanked the council for standing “united with the Lighthouse against abuse.”
The council also presented a proclamation recognizing Constitution Week and invited members of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to accept it. Mary Alice Taylor and other chapter members said the proclamation affirmed civic education and historical preservation work their group performs locally.
