Hayes told commissioners the parcel is located adjacent to Tuffy's Market on Highway 46 South. He said applicants will still have to submit a site plan showing setbacks and comply with railroad right-of-way setbacks if applicable. Hayes noted the county has scheduled a public hearing on the rezoning for Sept. 15 and a final vote is expected Oct. 20.
No public comment or staff recommendation was recorded in the work session discussion. The rezoning will proceed through the scheduled public hearing and subsequent commission consideration.
