Staff said the facility — in the C‑2 zone with a gateway‑corridor secondary overlay near Fox Run Parkway and Sanford Avenue — was originally approved in 2019 and that the applicant is assembling adjacent property for larger development. Staff recommended a 12‑month extension to allow the applicant time to proceed with the project. A commissioner said the site has had a sign out for several years and urged action.
The commission opened and closed the public hearing without speakers and approved the extension by motion.
