Council introduces multiple contracts and purchase orders, asks questions about capitalprojects training

Councilman Reynolds flagged one training contract for additional detail. "I missed this 1 last week, but I I I do have questions about it. What are we this is training the capital improvement department group. What what are we doing? What are we training them for? Are we making major modifications to the way we're handling capital projects, or what what efficiencies are we looking at?" he asked.
A staff member identified as Nick described the work as ongoing training on e-Builder software for new and existing employees and said the contract would provide continued support. "This is just ongoing training with that e Builder software. Any new employees that are coming in and, you know, existing employees that are just ongoing training," Nick said.
The council also read multiple items related to the fiscal-year 2025 budget, including the call for a public hearing on adoption of the fiscal year 2025–26 general fund and capital improvement fund budgets. Several rezoning and planned-unit-development items were set for public hearing on Oct. 14, including modifications to a previously approved planned unit development at 4350 Moffitt Road and rezoning applications for properties on Oseo Road and Saint Francis Street.
Other business read into the record included appointments and election-related contracts: appointment of Erna Winston to the Citizens Park and Recreation Advisory Committee and contracts authorizing professional services for the 2025 municipal election with individuals listed by name.
