County approves Rolling Hills Equine settlement and authorizes administrators to execute documents

County staff had earlier said the closed session was convened under Wisconsin Statute §19.85(1)(g) to confer with legal counsel regarding litigation and settlement strategy. Participants in the closed session included legal counsel, county administration, human services representatives and outside counsel; the board disclosed the post‑closed‑session motion and its approval but did not disclose settlement negotiation details discussed in closed session.
The board directed the county administrator and human services director to complete the execution and administrative actions necessary to implement the settlement and contract.
