General committee chairman Alderman Garza reported that Resolution 2025‑32 to hold a public hearing on the proposed development and Resolution 2025‑31 to annex the property at 1765 Avant Lane were forwarded to BOMA; the committee was not unanimous on the annexation. An ordinance rezoning roughly 32 acres related to the Crestwater Comprehensive Development Plan also advanced to BOMA but likewise was reported as not unanimous.
Planning Commission consideration of the Crestwater plan of services and annexation returned a 5‑to‑3 vote in favor. Alderman Martin reported the planning commission approved the Crestwater plan of services annexation by that margin and noted other final plat and preliminary plat items the commission approved.
No final action on the annexation or rezoning took place at the Sept. 9 BOMA meeting; those items will return for full board consideration with the public‑hearing schedule and related documents from committee.
