Kyle (last name not specified), Seneca County’s representative on the Western Region Off‑Track Betting (OTB) board of directors, presented a midyear report to the county supervisors on Sept. 9 highlighting record performance and increased municipal distributions.
The speaker said the organization, under president and CEO Byron Brown, set multiple monthly net‑win records in 2025 and had distributed more than $5.8 million to member municipalities year to date. The presentation projected total distributions of approximately $10 million for the year, representing roughly a $3.2 million increase from 2024.
For Seneca County specifically, the report projected that distributions would rise about 49% year over year, from $81,000 to approximately $121,000. The presenter also said January–July visitor numbers to OTB facilities were up 15% year over year, and he credited a successful summer concert series for part of the return on investment.
The board received copies of the midyear report, and the presenter offered to answer questions later if supervisors wanted more details.
