Rezoning at 209 Waynes Drive: The motion to rezone 209 Waynes Drive from R‑1 (low density) to R‑2 (medium density) failed on a 5‑2 roll call vote after a public hearing in which several Red Road residents raised traffic, pedestrian safety and drainage concerns. (See separate article.)
Committee approvals noted earlier in the meeting included a Streets & Sanitation committee recommendation to accept a pavement condition index evaluation and pavement management software bid from Garber and a Safety committee recommendation to purchase TAC‑capable radios so local units can use the Tennessee Advanced Communication Network. Those committee motions carried at committee level and were reported to the full board.
