Board members who interviewed applicants said the district’s program for student representation is unique and valuable. The two students addressed the board briefly, saying they hoped to bring a student perspective to district discussions.
The board’s action makes the appointments official; student representatives are nonvoting but may participate in discussions and have a standing agenda spot.
