District staff were directed to prepare a draft communication, circulate it to board members for feedback, and return to the board if differing viewpoints require an open meeting discussion. The board said any message should explicitly state that no final decision has been made and that the survey was exploratory.
No vote was required; the board gave administrative direction to draft the communication and to agendize further discussion if needed.
