The administrator read the SSDS figures for each school. The report listed the following counts by school (as read at the meeting): Katina — 5 incidents total, 5 HIB confirmed, 3 other incidents leading to removal, 2 HIB alleged; Applegate — 6 incidents total, all 6 HIB confirmed, 3 other incidents leading to removal, 1 HIB alleged; Barcelo — 7 incidents total, 1 of violence, 6 HIB confirmed, 9 other incidents leading to removal, 4 HIB alleged; Eisenhower — 18 incidents total, 3 of violence, 15 HIB confirmed, 22 other incidents leading to removal, 2 HIB alleged; Erickson — 4 incidents total, 1 of violence, 3 HIB confirmed, 10 other incidents leading to removal, 1 HIB alleged; Donovan — 3 incidents total, all 3 were HIB confirmed, and 3 HIB alleged; West Freehold — 1 incident total, 1 HIB confirmed, 5 other incidents leading to removal, and no HIB alleged; ECLC — no incidents.
The administrator cautioned that the categories are not additive. "Other incidents leading to removal aren't always something that is an incident... it's just another data category," the administrator said, noting that the “other incidents” metric is a separate reporting field and not intended as a simple total of events.
The board read a resolution opening the public hearing and, after receiving no comments, read and adopted the resolution closing the hearing on the SSDS report for the 2024–25 school year. The SSDS report was included in a bundle of personnel and policy items moved and approved by the board later in the meeting.
