The Hammond City Council on Sept. 29 approved a set of routine resolutions including corrections to civil service board term dates, a package-alcohol permit for a new Aldi store, a small state reimbursement for the Hammond North Shore Regional Airport and the airport’s five-year capital improvement plan for fiscal years 2026–2030.
The council approved two administrative corrections to terms on the Hammond Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Board: a corrected term for Charles Deliberto to expire June 29, 2028 (resolution 1) and a corrected term for Stanley Campbell to expire July 29, 2028 (resolution 2). Councilmembers said the corrections were necessary to align paperwork submitted to the secretary and the department.
