The Town of Braintree Planning Board at its meeting on Tuesday took the following formal actions:
- Approved the meeting minutes from Aug. 12, 2025. Motion moved by Member Kent, seconded by Member Makami; vote recorded as unanimous "Aye."
- Approved a special permit and site‑plan review for Escapeology of Braintree (125 Union Street). The applicant agreed to conditions in a draft decision prepared by planning staff; motion by Member Connolly, seconded by Member Kent; board members present voted in favor. The approval followed the board’s earlier vote to close the public hearing and direct staff to prepare a written decision.
- Approved a special permit and site‑plan review for Bayshore Athletic Club (160 Granite Street). Motion by Member Connolly, second by Member Kane; all voting members present voted "Aye." The owner, Timothy Dowling, had told the board he had reviewed the draft decision and had no questions.
- Continued three items to Oct. 14: a grading permit application for 55 King Hill Road (planning file 25‑04); Wicked Puppies (29 Messina Drive, planning file 25‑05); and the Trammell Crow Residential redevelopment of the former Armstrong site (10 Plain Street). Motions to continue were moved and seconded by board members and carried by unanimous vote.
The board indicated planning staff will prepare draft decisions and distribute peer‑review responses and materials ahead of the Oct. 14 meeting.
