The Lakeville Conservation Commission closed the hearing on a septic system replacement at 132 Bedford Street and voted to issue a Negative 3 Determination with a condition requiring an erosion‑control limit of work and updated plans.
Will Connolly of CEO Consulting Engineers described the project, saying the site contains “an existing 2‑bedroom dwelling, and a failed septic on‑site,” and that the proposal calls for a 1,500‑gallon septic tank, a 1,000‑gallon pump chamber and a four‑chamber infiltrator leaching bed. Connolly told the commission that most proposed work would occur in existing lawn and outside the isolated land subject to flooding (ISLF), though some minor tree removal was proposed toward the rear of the lot.
Commissioners asked about erosion control and the limit of work. Connolly agreed to add erosion control (for example, silt sock) to establish a clear limit of work and said equipment would likely access the site via the driveway at the front of the house and that the old tank would be pumped and removed. The commission moved to close the hearing and issue a Negative 3 Determination with a condition that the limit of work be defined by erosion control devices and that updated plans be submitted.
The motion passed unanimously. The commission recorded that the Board of Health had approved the septic design and that the applicant must submit updated plans showing erosion control measures prior to commencing work.
