The mayor cited the need to avoid disclosing terms of a real-estate offer that could undermine the city's negotiating position. A motion to go into closed session was made, seconded and approved; the council recessed and scheduled the closed meeting to convene in the conference room at 6:30 p.m.
No votes on ordinances or resolutions other than the consent items were finalized in open session during this meeting.
