Kamas Council approves $808 donation to Wreaths Across America

He asked the city for $808 to cover $500 for wreaths for unsponsored veterans and $303 for wreaths and ceremony materials at the city building and cemetery.
A councilmember moved to approve the $808 donation. After brief logistical questions about placement and whether shepherd's hooks were needed, the council voted in favor of the contribution. The council discussed placing the wreaths at the memorial and confirmed that volunteers could provide shepherd's hooks if needed; council members said the city would use existing stands where feasible.
The motion passed with all councilmembers voting aye. The city will receive the wreaths at city hall and place them at the memorial per the council's direction.
The donation was requested during the public-comment/guest presentations portion of the Sept. 8 meeting; the council then acted on the request during the same meeting.
