The El Cajon City Council on Sept. 19 adopted a California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) determination and voted to introduce an ordinance to rezone parcels at 628–630 Broadway and 702 Broadway from residential zoning to Office Professional.
The rezoning request, presented by Noah Alvey, deputy director for the Community Development Department, covers properties on the north side of Broadway between Ballantine Street and North Mollison Avenue. Staff said the change would align the parcel zoning with the city’s general plan and allow future redevelopment and repurposing of existing nonconforming uses.
