The motion to approve the consent item passed unanimously (5–0).
Why it matters: The funding represents a public–private partnership model: parents and volunteers raised funds to improve county park facilities. County staff said these kinds of partnerships can help deliver quality-of-life improvements without increasing the county’s operating budget.
