County pulls consent item after federal funding cut for CalFresh healthy living nutrition program

A separate consent item — C132 — was scheduled to return on Sept. 16, staff said. County counsel also noted a correction to item C134'the adoption date should be set for Sept. 16.
The remainder of the consent calendar moved forward. The board approved the consent agenda (with C42 removed and C132 continued) by voice vote; the clerk reported a 4–0 vote in favor with one supervisor absent.
The county did not present an alternative local funding source during the meeting; staff described the action as a funding elimination rather than a program cancellation by the county.
