The council approved a Class C liquor license for Cove Lounge and Grill at 3525 North 140 Seventh Street, with applicant Chad Daugherty presenting to answer questions.
The council approved a Class CS license for Lit Cigars and Spirits, to be operated by Family Cigar Lounge LLC at 910 North 16th Street. Attorney David Houghton told the council the business previously had approval at a different location and is relocating to this address. Houghton said hours will generally be “11 to 12 on most days,” and the establishment may stay open “until 02:00” for large Omaha events.
The council also approved a Class I liquor license for La Plaza Fiesta, 12405 West Center Road; applicant Efrain Patino spoke on behalf of the business. Finally, the council approved an addition to the Class C K license for Doctor Jack’s Drinkery — including an outdoor area at the address listed on the agenda — with applicant Derek Wallen appearing for the record.
Each item was opened for public hearing, saw either no public comment or a single proponent, and was approved by roll call. Council President Hugg and six other members recorded votes of yes on each item, producing 7‑0 outcomes.
No conditions, special restrictions or appeals were recorded during the meeting.
