Survey shows residents favor preserving rural character in Huntingtown, Owings and St. Leonard; county schedules town halls

Calvert County planning staff presented survey results on Nov. 2 from public outreach for the Huntingtown, Owings and Saint Leonard town-center master-plan updates, telling the Board of County Commissioners that respondents prioritized land use, environment and parks, and that the county will hold town halls in October to gather more input.

Tay Harris, long-range planner for the county, said 389 people completed the Huntingtown survey, 214 completed the Owings survey and 488 completed the Saint Leonard survey.
