District staff recommend joining ‘Fleet’ program to maintain employee benefits, avoid disruption

Presenter Ward said the district began contingency planning after learning in April that the vendor (referred to in the transcript as “Fizzbit”) would discontinue its platform. Ward said staff reviewed alternate vendors, a return to fully insured coverage, and other models and recommended joining Fleet to avoid service disruption for employees and to preserve Optum prescription rebates that “help towards funding our free insurance program.”
