Bannock County commissioners approve extension agreement, budget resolutions, sheriff detail and consent agenda

At its Sept. 9 meeting the Bannock County Board of Commissioners approved a series of routine agreements and resolutions by voice votes.
The board approved the county agricultural extension agreement with the University of Idaho, following a staff confirmation that the document had been updated to reflect corrections in the final budget. County Chair Nikki Ennis moved to sign the extension agreement and commissioners voted to approve it.
The board also approved three resolutions on the record: Resolution 2025-58 adopting fee changes and new fees for fiscal year 2026; Resolution 2025-59 approving the fiscal year 2026 Bannock County budget; and Resolution 2025-60 approving tax cancellation requests. A single motion was made to approve resolutions 2025-58, 2025-59 and 2025-60, and the motion passed by voice vote.
A signature-only item authorizing sheriff’s office protection for SIYFL (Little League) football was also approved. Commissioners noted the sheriff’s overtime/hourly rate for that assignment increased to $63 per hour; the motion approved the law enforcement protection contract and related memos.
The board adopted the consent agenda without comment and closed the recorded items of business. Several other matters discussed in the meeting were handled separately by staff or in other agenda items.
