Collierville approves $41,231 budget amendment to preserve police in‑car video evidence

The Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Sept. 8 voted unanimously to amend the town’s fiscal year 2026 general fund to appropriate $41,231 of building-privilege tax to cover a software upgrade for the police department’s in‑car camera evidence library.
JP Spas, the town’s budget officer, told the board that Resolution 2025-41 requests the appropriation “to cover the cost of a software software upgrade for the in car camera video, evidence library.” Inspector Chris Rossi then described technical risks that prompted the request.
