Committee conditions approval of Tributary Phase 1B Unit 13 on FEMA base flood elevations

The Nassau County Development Review Committee considered SP 24051, Tributary Phase 1B Unit 13, on Tuesday, Sept. 9. Caleb Hurst, development services, introduced the item and asked for departmental comments.
Constance Lay, Building Department, said the department showed no record of a base flood elevation study for the area and recommended approval of the site plan with the condition that FEMA base flood elevations (BFEs) be provided prior to any building permit application for Unit 13. Stephanie Keiser, Planning, had no comments. Kayla Burst, Development Services, and Rodney Nesler, Health Department, had no further comments. Thomas Ford, Fire Rescue, also had no further comments.
The committee did not take a formal vote at the meeting; the item was presented for recommended approval to department heads with the stated condition about FEMA BFEs. No timelines for submission of the BFE study or for final department-head action were specified during the meeting.
