The Regional School Committee held a business meeting in January and approved several routine and substantive items, including acceptance of December 12 minutes, adoption of the 2019–2020 Apponequet Regional High School (ARHS) program of studies and the acceptance of a $6,654.94 donation designated for technology.
The committee opened by taking and approving a motion to accept minutes from the Dec. 12 meeting. Later, the committee voted to adopt the 2019–2020 ARHS program of studies after a presentation and questions from members.
The committee unanimously approved a final donation from a foundation totaling $6,654.94, recorded by a committee member as earmarked for technology. In addition, a motion to authorize surplus of special advance funds was moved and passed.
On the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) statement of interest for a district facility, administrators recommended further review with the director of facilities and director of finance; the committee did not vote to submit a new statement of interest at this meeting and instead asked for a recommendation at the next meeting.
The committee recorded no named roll-call tallies in the public transcript for these votes; minutes show standard voice votes with "Aye" and no recorded opposition.
