Fulshear EDC holds executive session on two FM 1093 properties; approves minutes and payables, hears infrastructure and retail updates

The Fulshear Development Corporation met Sept. 8 and entered an executive session under the Texas Open Meetings Act to discuss the purchase, exchange, lease or value of EDC-owned real property at 30603 and 30619 FM 1093, then returned to open session with no action taken. The board approved the meeting minutes and a payable and heard staff reports on infrastructure projects and retail recruitment.

The executive session was announced under Section 551.072 of the Texas Open Meetings Act; a motion to adjourn into executive session passed and the board recessed at 6:03 p.m. The board returned to regular session at 6:30 p.m., and the chair reported “No action” arising from the executive session.

Why it matters: the two FM 1093 parcels discussed in executive session are EDC-owned properties that the corporation could sell, lease or otherwise move forward on; discussion in closed session preserves confidentiality for real-property negotiations. Open-session approvals and project updates indicate near-term progress on street, drainage and retail attraction work that could affect local development timing.
