Jen LeClaire, a Bellbrook resident, used the public‑comment portion of Monday’s City Council meeting to announce “A Taste of the Town,” a free community food sampling event hosted by the Bellbrook Sugar Creek Chamber of Commerce in partnership with For Bellbrook by Bellbrook.
LeClaire, who said she lives at 3408 Pavilion Lane, told council the event will be held at Bell Brock Park on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. She said multiple local restaurants plan to offer samples and that the event is intended “for our community and by our community,” not broadly advertised to nearby cities. LeClaire named several local businesses she expected to participate, including Skyline Chili and Giannino’s Pizza, and said musical entertainment and a comedy competition organized by the Lions Club and Brickies Comedy Club will run concurrently.
LeClaire encouraged community attendance and noted the event is posted on Facebook. Council acknowledged the announcement during public comment; no city action or funding was recorded at the meeting.
