Code enforcement staff and Building Standards Commission representatives briefed the council on Sept. 8 on enforcement activity and follow-up demolitions of substandard properties.
Mr. Phillips, speaking for code enforcement, said the department processed 1,270 cases between May 1 and July 31, 2025, with the most common issues being high grass and weeds (352 cases) and accumulated junk, trash and debris (278 cases).
