Abel and commissioners discussed alternatives if the association cannot proceed promptly: contracting with a planning firm that might find grant funding but could require about a year to secure funds and another year to complete the general plan. Commissioners said they prefer a faster timeline if possible but did not make a formal decision on whether to pursue an outside firm.
