The board approved multiple retirement service requests and deferred‑vested benefit motions and recorded notifications of several retired members’ deaths.

During the meeting trustees approved service retirements that will become effective Sept. 13, 2025: Dennis D. Bell, battalion chief, Fire Department (29.79 years); Michael J. Murray, fire engineer, Fire Department (25.67 years); and Jonathan Redmond, police officer, Police Department (29.46 years). Trustee Lusley seconded the motion to approve and the board adopted the retirements by voice vote.

Trustees also approved deferred‑vested payouts for Michael William O’Neil (police officer; effective 09/25/2025; 10.62 years) and Sean M. Newnes (police officer; effective 09/13/2025; 25.29 years). Motions were moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.

Staff presented notifications of three deaths among retired members: Michael H. Bowman (retired police officer; died 03/13/2025), Jess Correa (retired fire engineer; died 07/25/2025) and Oliver F. Kramer (retired police sergeant; died 06/19/2025). The staff noted that none of these notifications carried survivorship benefit liabilities. Trustees offered brief remarks of thanks for service to the community.

All actions were processed as routine business of the consent calendar and recorded in the minutes.
