Wayzata board adopts updates to attendance, acceleration and commercial media policies

The recommended action to approve the policies was moved and seconded and the board approved them by roll-call vote. The vote was recorded in the transcript as unanimous.
The board’s policy-review process includes monthly meetings of a policy committee consisting of three board members and district administration. Superintendent Dr. Chase Anderson said these policies were reviewed as part of the regular cycle and that district stakeholders participated where necessary.
No substantive changes to district practice were described in the meeting; administrators characterized the edits as aligning district language with MSBA templates.
