Planning board seeks certified training after membership lapse with New York Planning Federation

The board discussed pursuing certified modules at upcoming meetings so newer members can complete required hours and to ensure training counts toward required certified training.
Board members volunteered to coordinate: Tom agreed to contact potential presenters and to reach out to an engineer (named in the meeting) to develop a certified module on stormwater and site runoff. Members proposed a short module at the next meeting (about 30 minutes) that is a certified course; they also discussed continuing to invite technical presenters (water, sewer, building) but noted some of those sessions have not counted as certified training in the past.
The board asked the secretary and staff to search for the outstanding federation invoice and to restore membership so certificates will be issued for eligible training.
