The committee recommended approval of listed professional and support staff appointments and resignations (PS1–PS4) and accepted support staff retirements (PS5). The committee approved a $1,750 stipend for the elementary library media specialist for the 2025–26 school year (PS6) and a $1,750 stipend to coordinate the Common School Fund budget/ordering (PS7). The committee approved a 2% co‑curricular stipend for leaders of a proposed Wisconsin Rapids Middle School fitness club (PS8).
To address rising special education caseloads after recent student transfers, the committee recommended hiring one additional full‑time special education teacher at Woodside Elementary School (PS9); the district will look at transfers of service to help fund the position. The committee approved handbook changes to personal‑day language allowing building administrators to oversee personal‑day use (PS10), effective 09/08/2025. Finally, the committee recommended adding one district‑wide bilingual ELL aide to expand small‑group and family communication supports and to be scheduled flexibly as enrollment changes (PS11).
The committee moved and carried a combined motion to approve PS1 through PS11.
