The Johnson City Commission voted Sept. 4 to adopt and certify Horizon 2045, the city's updated comprehensive (growth management) plan, during its meeting at the Municipal and Safety Building.
Planning manager Winnie Hodges told the commission this was the third and final reading of the plan and recommended adoption. Hodges said the planning commission had previously adopted and certified the plan by a 7-0 vote and noted a short post-adoption transition for online materials: "For the next 4 to 6 weeks, there'll be a transition from a Kimley Horn website to a Johnson City website," she said.
